EMS Transition improvement Program Solution (TiPS) Training

This seven-session training will start with one full day and a half, followed another full day and four half days. Policies are issued to all companies involved and a discussion of waste reduction opportunities begins. Aspects and Impacts are covered as procedure development begins. Required procedures and their intent are discussed and examples are given to the attendees as the program progresses. The ISO 14001 standard will be issued to each company.

This Group Training Program consists of several committed companies who go through the following training together.

Session Content Time
On-site Determining current state, establish Baseline of your organization Approximately 2 to 3 hours
Day 1 Intro to the program. Overview of ISO 14001, commitment. Basics of this Environmental Management System. Action Plan. 8:30-3:30
Day 2 ISO 14000 and ISO 14004 overview, Implementation & Documentation Overview, Begin Initial Environmental Review (IER), Issue Environmental Policy Manual template, begin work on modifications to the manual. EMS Policy, Get any missing information or approvals needed between day 2 and day 3 8:30-3:30
On-site Instructor visits each company to review any questions, recommend improvements, assist with planning element, IER, introduce the regulation assessment person. Regulatory, legal requirements, Assessment completed ½ to 2 days
Day 3 Complete work on modifications to the manual. Define aspects and impacts. Continual Improvement and Management Review 8:30-3:30
Day 4 Identify Waste Reduction Opportunities, Metrics Selected, Training and Communication, Documentation Requirements and Operational Controls Procedures and Forms issued for ideas and detail, Objectives, Targets. 8:30-3:30
On-site Instructor visits each company to determine opportunities for improvements, determine readiness, needs Half day
Day 5 Internal Auditor Training seminar for up to two participants per company. 8:30-3:30
Day 6 Internal Auditor Training seminar day 2 8:30-3:30
On-site Practice Internal Audit and assess next steps for opportunities Half day
Day 7 Subcontractors, Emergency Response, Records. Implementation Issues, wrap-up, next steps 8:30-3:30

Each company will complete this program with an EMS Policy Manual and required procedures, dependant upon their efforts in the program. Facilitated by manufacturing experienced RAB Certified EMS professionals.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this program, however it would be beneficial if you are familiar with:

Flowcharting or Process Mapping Flow-Charting or process mapping
Creating Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions Creating Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions
EMS and QMS Basics Have an understanding of EMS and QMS basics such as Management Review, Internal Audit Programs, Document Control, Records, and Problem Solving and these items will not be covered in depth

Costs

The cost of attending our EMS TiPS Training, at our Advanced Training Center runs $9,200 (US) per company (allowing for two attendees). If additional people are needed, they can be added for an additional fee. If you prefer to have this course delivered at your location, that can be arranged.
